In 2020, my friend Tina connected me with Sarah Nketiah, the Founder and CEO of J&S African Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sarah and her family wanted to stock their store with fresh, Ghanian-inspired merch for the Black Lives Matter movement. I used the colors of the Flag of Ghana and the J&S logo to create four designs in Adobe Illustrator. We ordered stickers, t-shirts, hoodies, and hats. The t-shirts were the most successful, so much so, people stopped us on the street to ask, "Where did you get those? I want one!"
